I am married to the love of my life, Douglas Williams. We were married December 18, 1965. We have two wonderful children, one great son-in-law, and two precious granddaughters. We all share the same goal...Heaven. Douglas, my husband, has been preaching for 55 years. We've shared a wonderful life.
Education: I graduated from Elba High School, Elba, AL and Perry Business School, Valdosta, GA. Later I studied graphic art, worked 23 years in that field, and retired. Today I enjoy writing, illustrating, speaking to ladies groups, and using the talents in which God has blessed me and always praying to be a soul winner.
On January 8, 2014, my mother went to heaven at the age of 102.5. She had lived in our home for ten years. It was my privilege to be her full-time caregiver for six years. I am thankful to be working for the Lord with my husband now.
I began reading through the New Testament each month in October 2009. Some months I don't completely finish but have grown in my knowledge of the Word since starting this. I highly recommend reading nine chapters a day which will take a person through the NT in less than a month.
This is a print we bought Saturday at the Piney Woods Arts Festival in Enterprise. I had seen the original painting by Keith Newby, or Kenneth Newby, of Dothan years ago at the festival and wept when I saw it. It looked like someone very special in my life, my grandmother, Evie Lee Bryant. (I am honored to wear her name.) For well over ten years I have thought of this painting and wished we could have purchased it. Saturday our trip to the festival was entirely to see if by a very small chance we might find the artist and the picture. He along with his display was set up in a tent almost immediately to our left when we entered the craft area. He didn't have the original painting on display since it had sold but did have this smaller and less expensive print. Beautiful memories. I wonder how many of my cousins will agree with my thinking?
